Sending of telegrams in Serbia

Telegram delivery in the territory of the whole Serbia for legal entities.

The Post of Serbia provides the possibility of concluding a contract on transfer of telegram.

For telegrams submitted by a legal entity at the post office counter, the Post of Serbia, as a reliable partner, depending on the mode of payment, provides the possibility of concluding a contract on transfer of telegram.

Telegram is a written notification which can be posted in a post office or be conveyed by phone.

For sending a telegram from the fixed phone of the Operator „Telekom Srbija“, dial 1961.

Note

Sending telegram by phone is enabled only by dialling from a fixed-line phone number of the Operator „Telekom Srbija”.

The option of sending telegrams by dialling from the fixed phone numbers of other operators in Serbia or any mobile phone operator is currently not available.

Telegram can have maximum 800 characters (letters, numbers and signs, including spaces). If handed in the post office, telegram has to be written legibly and clearly in Cyrillic or Latin alphabet.

The address of the recipient must have all the necessary elements which unambiguously define the recipient and enable fast and accurate delivery.

The reception of telegrams whose contents refer to violation of constitutional order, inciting national, racial, religious and other intolerance or hatred, as well as those directed against humanity and international law, life and body, honor and reputation and general security and property, are prohibited.

Electronic tracking of telegrams is possible via the website of the Post of Serbia.

Telegram status information can also be obtained by calling the Call Center at 0700 100 300 or by sending a text message to the number 2377, in the format: TGSTA_unique telegram number.
