Sending parcels abroad

Send parcels to your customers, associates or business partners abroad.

Depending on the further purpose and type of goods you wish to send, there are different customs procedures, as well as post offices in which you can submit your parcels.                                 

Depending on the content and customs procedure, there are several ways to send the parcel.

Also, depending on the way you choose to send the goods i.e. parcel, different documents need to be submitted.

If you are a legal entity, in parcels for international traffic, you may send samples and promotional material, as well as goods of the commercial character.

Samples and Promotional Material

Postal items containing promotional material and samples can be submitted in any post office.

Along with the item, it is necessary to submit the following documentation:

  • “Statement for export of promotional material and samples” on the memorandum, recommended in two copies, one in Serbian and the other in English or a language used in the country of destination, addressed to the “Customs Office Belgrade” (Novi Sad or Niš), Customs Outpost Office Belgrade (Post Office Novi Sad or Post Office Niš) depending on the territorial affiliation of the place of sending the parcel to the competent Customs Post. If a legal entity does not use a seal in his/her business, stamp certification on this document is not required;
  • Pro-forma invoice or other commercial, official or accounting document declaring the amount of goods on the memorandum, recommended in two copies, one in Serbian and the other in English or a language used in the country of destination. If a legal entity does not use a seal in his/her business, stamp certification on this document is not required
  • Completed Customs Declaration CN 23 form based on which the post office employee enters data into the application, in order to print data on the Parcel Label CP72 form and possibly the Appendix to that form, if the parcel contains more than six items.An example of the completed Customs Declaration CN 23 form can be downloaded here. The form must be filled in legibly, with a detailed description of the contents of the postal item, specified by type of articles contained therein, their weight and value (general descriptions of articles such as: "clothing", "footwear", "food products", etc.) are not allowed. In order to expedite customs clearance, the information must be completed in English, French or the language used in the country of destination. When submitting the parcel, the data on the articles filled in by the sender on the form are applicatively entered, and then the form Parcel Label CP72 and possibly the supplement to that form, if the parcel contains more than six articles, are printed. By placing their signature in the appropriate section of the form, the sender confirms the accuracy of the entered data.

Commercial Goods

If the parcel contains goods of the commercial character (goods intended for further sale), following documents are necessary:

  • “Customs Declaration – JCI form with the engagement of a forwarding agent.”;

  • Completed Customs Declaration CN 23 form based on which the post office employee enters data into the application, in order to print data on the Parcel Label CP72 form and possibly the Appendix to that form, if the parcel contains more than six items.   • If a legal entity wants to export goods of a commercial nature, it is necessary to perform export customs clearance at the Customs before submitting the parcel at the post office. After export customs clearance, the customer can submit the parcel containing goods in all post offices, on the same day after the procedure has been completed, along with a printed and certified copy of the Customs Declaration – JCI form. Goods secured by Customs shall not be opened.

     

    Export customs clearance and submission of parcels for transfer can be done in one place, at the Customs Post in Belgrade, 210b Ugrinovačka Street.
