EMS items in international traffic may contain: documents, goods, other items except those prohibited by Universal Postal Union and laws of individual countries.

Documents
By calling +381 11 3607 607 or 0800 100 808, documents can be sent from the desired address from the following locations across Serbia – provided that the weight of the item does not exceed 0.5 kg, or by submitting the item at the post office counter.

Good in the form of gifts
If you wish to send a gift, it is necessary to enclose a completed EMS address label with the postal item, as well as the appropriate number of copies of the Customs Declaration (CN 23) form if you send more than four articles in the postal item. Also, it is necessary to enclose the Proforma Invoice and Statement on the sender’s memorandum, entitled "Belgrade Customs Office" (Novi Sad or Niš), Customs Post Office Belgrade (Novi Sad or Niš), depending on the territorial affiliation of the place from which the postal item is being sent to the competent customs post office. If the legal entity does not use the stamp in its business, stamp certification on this document is not required.
Samples and advertising material
If you want to send samples or advertising material, it is necessary to enclose the following documentation with the postal item:
- statement for export of advertising material and samples, on the sender’s memorandum, entitled "Belgrade Customs Office" (Novi Sad or Niš), Customs Post Office Belgrade (Novi Sad or Niš), depending on the territorial affiliation of the place from which the postal item is being sent to the competent customs post office. If the legal entity does not use the stamp in its business, stamp certification on this document is not required.
- proforma invoice with the declarative amount of goods, on the memorandum of the sender;
- the appropriate number of copies of the customs declaration form (CN23), if you send more than four articles in the postal item.
Goods of commercial nature
If you want to send a postal item containing goods of commercial nature (goods intended for resale), the following documents are required:
- unique customs document (JCI form) - with the mediation of forwarding;
- the appropriate number of copies of the customs declaration form (CN23), if you send more than four articles in the postal item.
Note: The Customs Declaration (CN23) must be filled in legibly, with a detailed description of the contents of the postal item, by type of articles, their weight and value (general descriptions of articles such as: "spare parts", "samples", "food products", etc.) are not allowed. In order to expedite customs clearance in the destination country, the reccomendation is that the information be entered in English, French or the language used in the country of destination. By placing their signature in the appropriate section of the form, the sender confirms the accuracy of the entered data.
