The Post of Serbia, as a member of the Universal Postal Union, regularly receives and monitors information related to international postal traffic, and in order to provide accurate and timely information we would like to notify users of our services that there is still no full normalization of flows in international postal traffic.
In the conditions of the extended COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the arrival of international postal material, both in quantity and in dynamics - does not take place in a way that corresponds to regular and undisturbed functioning. Unfortunately, this inevitably affects the recipients of shipments around the world, including Serbia, regarding uncertain arrivals and delays of shipments from international traffic.
In such circumstances, the Post of Serbia cannot in any way influence the work of foreign postal operators, nor be responsible for delays in the arrival of international shipments caused by the problems of the infectious disease pandemic. On its territory, the Post of Serbia provides services to users without any delay, and incoming items from international traffic are delivered to the recipient immediately after arrival and customs procedures, in accordance with the Law on Postal Services and other regulations governing the field of postal traffic.
Also, we draw the attention of our users to the fact that the status of international unregistered letter items, such as most items generated by e-commerce, cannot be tracked on the official websites of postal operators, and by choosing such a service users are left without information about the status of the expected item.
Since the Post of Serbia, through the mechanisms of cooperation with all international postal administrations, constantly makes maximum efforts to speed up the dynamics of arrivals of both registered and unregistered items, we ask the users of our services for patience and invite them to address our Contact Centre in case of any doubts.
