New benefits for parcel post services of the Post of Serbia from January

The Post of Serbia has redesigned and improved parcel post services in domestic postal traffic, which bring new benefits for users, individuals and legal entities and entrepreneurs, and are especially tailored to the needs of Internet retailers.

Parcel post services are intended for all users who do not prioritise a short delivery time and who want to safely and at affordable prices, send goods and other items weighing up to 31.5 kg per parcel, with a delivery time of up to five working days throughout Serbia.

From 1 January, 2022, the Post of Serbia introduces a new parcel service - Ordinary parcel, for sending parcels without indicated value, and at affordable price, which for a parcel weighing up to 3 kg is 200 dinars. The price of a parcel from 3 to 5 kg is 250 dinars, and at a price of 400 dinars a parcel weighing over 15 to 20 kg is sent as an ordinary one. At 131 post offices, it is possible for five or more parcelsto be delivered at the user's address at the price of 100 dinars for one delivery, while for pensioners enclosing their pension card, there is an additional benefit - less than five parcelscan be delivered at their address at the same price. Receptionof parcels is performed at the counters of all post offices in Serbia, while delivery is also possible on the entire territory of Serbia.

New payment methods are also being introduced. In addition to the previous payment in cash and under the contract by the sender, the postage for the transfer of a parcel can now be paid by the recipient. It is also possible to issue and submit a special confirmation of the delivery of the parcel, as well as return the advice of delivery if it is important for the sender to return the documentation signed by the recipient after the delivery of the parcel. As an additional service, an electronic confirmation of delivery of the postal item - SMS message is also possible.

Postal application solutions in the form of an electronic address book for addressing are available to users for equipping parcels. The deadline for storing parcels for delivery at the post office has been extended from five to 20 days, and an SMS message has been provided to the recipient as a notification of the arrival and delivery of a parcel.

When sending, the user packs the contents in their own packaging. Packaging in the form of envelopes and boxes can also be purchased at the points of sale of the Post of Serbia, in Post-shops and at post offices.

In addition, the user can opt for additional services - handling a COD postal item (for parcels with indicated value) and handling a special delivery parcel (fragile or bulky content).
