Diplomatic Relations Jubilee between Serbia and Kazakhstan marked on Stamps
Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia presented to H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia Madi Atamkulov, a commemorative issue of postage stamps titled “25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kazakhstan”, which was prepared by the Post of Serbia in honour of the jubilee.
Đorđević and Ambassador Atamkulov highlighted the successful development of relations marked by strong friendship, trust and mutual respect for over a quarter of a century, and welcomed the opening of a new chapter in Belgrade-Nur-Sultan relations, intensifying and strengthening political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, based on a solid bilateral legal framework.
“The high level of support and cooperation of our countries in the most important areas can be even more meaningful. The Post of Serbia is open for all forms of cooperation in order to transfer and exchange experiences and technological practices, and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgrade will provide assistance in communication and connecting the post offices of our countries, in order to provide even better postal services. We also agreed that in the field of philatelic cooperation, where we are now taking the first steps with these commemorative postage stamps issued on the occasion of the important jubilee, as well as in the field of cultural exchange, there is great potential, which we will exploit more in the future so as to increase mutual understanding and bring our peoples and cultures closer together.”, said Zoran Đorđević.
The motifs on the commemorative postage stamps - a block with two stamps and a first day envelope, are architectural and geographical landmarks of Serbia and Kazakhstan. Professional cooperation was provided by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgrade, while the artistic realization is the work of Miroslav Nikolić, the creator of the stamps for the Post of Serbia.
