Jubilee of the Communist Party of China marked on postage stamps
Commemorative postage stamps issue “100 years of the Communist Party of China”, Post of Serbia solemnly presented to the public at the promotion in the PTT Museum, with the accompanying philatelic exhibition "Contemporary Philately of the People's Republic of China". Acting Director of the Post of Serbia Zoran Đorđević, Ambassador of China to Serbia Chen Bo, other high representatives of the Embassy and State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Starović were present.
The Ambassador Chen Bo thanked the Post of Serbia and Acting Director Đorđević for the special issue of postage stamps and exhibitions on the occasion of the centenary of the Communist Party of China, which, as she said, is a friendly act that best reflects the steel friendship of the two nations. The Ambassador spoke about the huge contribution of the Communist Party of China, which is the largest party in the world with more than 95 million members, the peaceful development of countries, as well as the development of Chinese - Serbian relations. "There is great potential when it comes to cooperation between China and Serbia in the field of postal activities. Our Embassy will provide assistance in communication between the post offices of our countries and improve their cooperation in order to provide even better postal services to the people of our two countries", concluded Chen Bo.
“The significance of the activities of the Communist Party of China during the century since its founding is reflected not only in the extraordinary development of their country, which is one of the world leaders in all areas. What we want to emphasize and perpetuate with this issue are the excellent relations between China and Serbia, marked by a lasting and reliable partnership and sincere friendship between our two countries, which were largely built through initiatives introduced and encouraged by the Chinese Communist Party, President Xi Jinping and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The Post of Serbia contributes to the preservation of the testimonies of that friendship for the future and is proud to contribute to further building of the relations in the fields of postal and logistics activities, development of international postal traffic, as well as bringing this great culture closer through philatelic activities and other cultural cooperation”, said Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia and announced a special gift - stamps issued just for President Xi Jinping on behalf of the state of the Republic of Serbia and the Post of Serbia.
The commemorative philatelic issue, released on November 29, contains three commemorative postage stamps symbolically representing the 100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall of China, printed in sheetlets with three stamps and three vignettes, first day cover and commemorative cancel. The issue was prepared in cooperation with the University Library "Svetozar Marković", while the artistic realization of the issue was done by Nadežda Skočajić, creator of stamps and valuables for the Post of Serbia.
