The Post expands and digitalises insurance services
Acting Director of Post of Serbia Zoran Đorđević, talked today about the role of the Post as a growth generator of insurance market, at the Fifth conference Serbian insurance days in Aranđelovac. He announced the expansion and digitalisation of the Post's services in insurance - both those already available in post offices, such as travel health insurance, combined household insurance, green card, roadside assistance and car accident insurance, and the introduction of new digital services.
“Digitalisation, as development priority of the Post of Serbia, aims to introduce electronic capabilities for the implementation of both classic and innovative postal services, in accordance with the modern needs of citizens. The application solutions will, among other things, enable citizens from their homes to organize the sending and receiving of items, to pay the bills, to send e-Telegrams and e-Greeting cards. Moreover, introduction of parcel lockers will enable flexibility of deadlines and locations for receiving items, while for the needs of the economy we are working on the realisation of the e-Archiving project. At the same time, the insurance segment, in which the Post of Serbia has been present for several years through cooperation with “Dunav osiguranje” company, whose services are available to citizens at post offices, was assessed as one of the business priorities given the growth of practice in developed European countries, where insurance is offered to clients precisely through postal operators. Therefore, together with our insurance partners, we will work to make the entire spectrum of both currently available and new insurance services available to citizens through digital solutions, with the advantages for the Post being completing the range of services, optimizing resource use and increasing profitability. At the same time, in this way, the insurance companies make their products more accessible, which popularizes insurance services and increases their sales.“, said Zoran Đorđević.
The largest regional gathering in the field of insurance „Serbian insurance days” is held today and tomorrow, with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries, the National Bank of Serbia, insurance companies and insurance experts.
