Director Đorđević with Minister Vulin on security at the Post of Serbia

Acting Director of the PE Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, talked today in the Ministry of the Interior with Minister Aleksandar Vulin about the modalities of improving and raising the level of security in the facilities of the Post of Serbia.

The Minister of the Interior, Aleksandar Vulin, pointed out that the facilities of the Post of Serbia are safe, but that they will work on making them even safer and more protected. The Minister said that employees and citizens who visit the facilities of the Post, primarily our pensioners, can be calm and peaceful, because their police are there to serve and protect.

“Thanks to the fast and efficient work of members of the police force, in the last three weeks, several criminal groups were arrested that robbed the Post of Serbia. In Belgrade, members of the police quickly arrested three people immediately after the aggravated theft at the post office in Užice and shed light on several of these criminal acts in the area of Belgrade for which the suspects are charged. The stolen money, more than 700,000 dinars, was found with the suspects and returned to the post office in Užice”, said the Minister of the Interior, Aleksandar Vulin.

“In the previous period, the police, with their intensive work, shed light on a large number of robberies and thefts committed to the detriment of the Post of Serbia in Šabac and Babušnica and other places in Serbia. In three cases, the police arrested the perpetrators immediately after the crime was committed”, said Minister Vulin.

The Director of the PE Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, thanked Minister Vulin and members of the police for their efficient and responsible work and pointed out that in the last period, postal facilities have become much more secure, and that postal workers and citizens feel much safer and more protected.

“I am satisfied with the meeting with Minister Vulin, because he confirms the exceptional cooperation between the Post of Serbia and the Ministry of the Interior. As we promised our employees, the management is implementing all the necessary measures to improve security in all facilities of the Post”, said Zoran Đorđević.

The meeting was also attended by the Chief of the Police Administration for the City of Belgrade, Veselin Milić, as well as the Director of the Accompanying Function of Security and Protection of the Post of Serbia, Marina Furtula.
