Saker falcon in the finale of the competition for the best stamp of Europe
The stamp of the Post of Serbia “Saker falcon” is among the top five most beautiful stamps in Europe in the international internet voting, which ended on September 9, and the final winner will be announced on October 6. On the same day, the most beautiful European stamp for 2021 will be announced based on the votes of the expert jury.
The stamp of the Post of Serbia competed with postage stamps from 52 European countries in the competition for the most beautiful postage stamp for the philatelic issue EUROPE 2021, which is held every year under the auspices of the Association of public postal operators – PostEurop.
This year's topic of the competition for the most beautiful postage stamp of Europe is endangered national wild species, and Post of Serbia participated with the philatelic issue with motives of saker falcon (Falco cherrug) and shore lark (Eremophila alpestris). The issue is a result of the cooperation between the Post of Serbia and the Natural History Museum in Belgrade.
