Đorđević and Ambassador Aksoy: Strengthening cooperation with Turkish Post

 

H.E. Ambassador of Turkey in Belgrade, Hami Aksoy, and Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of PE Post of Serbia, today exchanged views on most important areas for improving cooperation between two countries in the field of international postal traffic and services. Cooperation and connection between Turkish Post and Post of Serbia can be far greater, so as to best go with modern and improved relations between two countries, along with development of market and trade relations, speakers concluded.

“Post of Serbia is a regional leader in postal and logistics services, and in partnership with the Turkish Post, it will strengthen its role in the international framework as well. Turkey is a very important partner of Serbia and today's meeting aims to launch an initiative for new joint projects of the two postal operators, with which we will monitor and adequately respond to growing e-commerce - by improving the quality of service we provide in international postal traffic and developing overall logistics capacities”, said Zoran Đorđević.

Đorđević also announced a forthcoming meeting between the leaders of the Posts of the two countries, at which framework would be established for a joint appearance and better positioning on the international market, as well as a stronger connection between our citizens and economies. The topic of the meeting was also the possibility of transferring postal items by commercial flights of the Turkish Airlines, which, along with the extensive network of international lines of the national airline, Air Serbia, will give new energy to international postal traffic, but also to the development of trade in the wide geographical region and Turkey.
