Warning: Citizens are being targeted by a new Internet scam

PE Post of Serbia detected a new fraud that abuses the name and features of the Post Express courier service. It is a phishing scam (an attempt to steal citizens' data) whose target are the users of some sites for buying and selling.

The fraudulent messages that users receive contain a link to the fake page of the Post Express service, which is not owned by the PE Post of Serbia, and on which the payment of money with payment cards is requested. It is a phishing scam (an attempt to steal citizens' data) whose target is the users of the WhatsApp application and some sites for buying and selling.

We emphasize that neither the Post of Serbia nor Post Express communicate with citizens in this way and we advise them to be extremely careful, not to open links in received messages and not to enter their data.

As part of the measures it is taking to prevent and detect fraudulent activities, the Post of Serbia also informed the Ministry of the Interior of Serbia - Department for High-Tech Crime, in order to take measures to detect the perpetrators of this crime.

In order to educate and help the citizens of Serbia, if there are any doubts, the Contact Centre of PE Post of Serbia whose phone numbers are 0700 100 300 and 011 3607 788, is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
