Post adjusts its business to the needs of the blind

At the meeting held between the Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, and the representatives of the Association of the Blind of Serbia, President Milan Stošić and Secretary of the Association, Jelena Stojanović, it was agreed on the following steps of concrete support of the Post of Serbia to a broader platform for improving the position of people with disabilities.

The agreed cooperation will include the printing of various materials in Braille for the needs of the Post, while the Association of the Blind of Serbia will take over the role of an advisory body for the PE Post of Serbia. The partnership will also help to better understand the living conditions and specific needs of this vulnerable category, as well as to further adapt the services of the Post and its infrastructure making them more accessible for people with disabilities, with the aim of contributing to their overall social status.

Director Đorđević and his associates, the Director of WU “Hybrid Post”, Srdjan Smiljković, and the Director of the PTT Museum, Viktor Lazić, visited the Library for the Blind “Dr Milan Budimir”, the largest of its kind in the Balkans and one of the largest in Europe, which was recently renovated and equipped according to the latest standards with the support of Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić, and other relevant state institutions.
