Modernization of the Post of Serbia with Japanese technology

In order to raise the quality of services for citizens and the economy, Post of Serbia will modernize its logistic centres in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš, and the first negotiations about the purchase of the new technology for sorting of postal items are planned with the manufactures from Japan, said Acting Director of the PE Post of Serbia Zoran Đorđević during the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Serbia, His Excellency Takahiko Katsumata.

At the meeting we agreed that there are real possibilities for the improvement of the cooperation between the Posts of our countries, as well as for the modernization of sorting capacities of the Post of Serbia in cooperation with the manufacturers of this equipment form Japan, because the Post is already using Japanese-made sorting machines that are considered among the best in the world“, said Acting Director of the Post of Serbia Zoran Đorđević.

In this regard, Đorđević kindly asked Ambassador Katsumata at the meeting that was held at the Post of Serbia to convey an invitation to Japanese equipment manufacturers for a meeting in Belgrade where Japanese manufacturers could provide advice on how the Post of Serbia can modernize its technology in the best and most rational way .

Acting Director Đorđević also announced the support of the Post of Serbia to the representative of the Japanese Post, Metoki Masahiko who is running for the next Director General of the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union, that will be selected in August.
