Gold Medal for "185 Years of Post of Serbia" Monograph at "SRBIJAFILA XVI"
The Post of Serbia won a gold medal at the "SRBIJAFILA XVI" National Philatelic Exhibition for the monograph "185 Years of the Post of Serbia" in the "Literature" competitive class.
The 2025 anniversary edition of the monograph authored by Ljiljana Đorđević, an advisor at the PTT Museum, also received a special award. It is a traditional painted beekeeping panel – known as a "beehive front panel" – a unique form of folk art and part of Slovenia's cultural heritage and long-standing beekeeping tradition, provided by the Slovenian Philatelic Association.
The national philatelic exhibition with international participation "SERBIAFILA XVI" (FEPA Recognition) was held at the Central Military Club in Belgrade from 7 to 11 October, organized by the Union of Philatelists of Serbia with the support of the Post of Serbia.
The 16th National Philatelic Exhibition, held after a 15-year hiatus, brought together the most distinguished exhibitors from the country and the former Yugoslav republics, as well as international guests, marking two milestones in Serbian philately: the 75th anniversary of the first national philatelic exhibition and the 160th anniversary of the first Serbian regular postage stamp issued in 1866 featuring the image of Prince Mihailo.
