About the activities of Post of Serbia in providing postal services
The Post of Serbia conducts its operations and provides postal services in accordance with the Law on Postal Services and the General Conditions for the Provision of Postal Services, duly performing the contracted and charged services of receiving, transferring and delivering letterpost items, while acting in accordance with the prescribed deadlines and quality parameters.
In order to ensure compliance with the agreed deadlines, any additional engagement of employees in the implementation of work, outside their regular working hours, is duly recorded and increased wages are paid for overtime work, in accordance with the Rules on the Performance of Overtime Work.
Namely, according to Article 51 of the Law on Postal Services, the postal operator is obliged to transfer and deliver postal items to recipients within a period not exceeding five working days. The universal postal service provider is also obliged to deliver postal items in accordance with the quality parameters prescribed by the relevant act. These parameters stipulate that at least 50% of items must be delivered on the second day, 70% on the third day, while at least 97% of items must be delivered by the fifth day.
Considering the activities of mailmen with users in the field, we would like to point out that starting from 7 June, the Post of Serbia has enabled and offered a new digital service, e-Mailman, i.e. electronic delivery via the e-Mailman platform, in accordance with Article 24 of the Law on Postal Services.
In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, users who consent to the electronic delivery of items through the e-Mailman system are enabled to receive invoices, notifications and information they have opted for in electronic form, in addition to the classic delivery of items to the user's address. For this, the Post of Serbia requires the user's consent, which is precisely stated in the form, and the purpose of collecting phone numbers, with the user's consent obtained.
The goal of this activity is for the Post of Serbia and every mailman in the field to communicate directly with users, to achieve faster and better communication with everyone who wants it, thereby enabling regular exchange of information about the activities of the Post of Serbia and better quality of service provision.
We emphasize that this is not a one-time or time-limited activity, nor is it limited to a single group or groups of users, but rather a permanent commitment and this activity includes all categories of postal service users, regardless of group, status, gender, affiliation or orientation.
We emphasize once again that the intention is exclusively to improve the quality of the services of the Post of Serbia – faster, more organized, more reliable and better service, as well as to be as close to users as possible.
