Post of Serbia expands logistics capacities in southern Serbia

Zoran Anđelković, acting director of the Post of Serbia, visited the post offices in Leskovac, Lebane and Medveđa today, spoke with employees, and held an important meeting in Niš on the topic of improving and expanding technological and logistical capacities, according to the growing needs of the city and the entire area of southern Serbia.

Director Anđelković, with his associates and the director of the Niš Working Unit, met with the director and management of the Serbian Airport and the director of the Constantine the Great Airport. The delegations discussed signing a memorandum of intent that would enable the Post of Serbia to build a large logistics centre within the Constantine the Great Airport, in order to respond to the needs of southern Serbia and beyond, including the countries of the Western Balkans, North Macedonia, Albania and Bulgaria.

Director Anđelković emphasized that the Post of Serbia is actively working on the modernization and development of regional and local logistics centres, increasing their capacities and improving results and efficiency.

“We will soon build a large logistics and warehouse space in the area of the Niš airport. This is important for the Post of Serbia, the expansion of the network of logistics centres and our Post-Express, but it is equally important for the City of Niš and the entire south of Serbia, because it will speed up the process of delivering postal items and parcels to all citizens in this part of the country,” said Anđelković.

He explained that in addition to the technical and technological modernization in the form of robotic support that was implemented in the postal centre in Niš last year, the expansion of capacities for technological processes and logistics creates the prerequisites to fully respond to user requests for new services, increasing reliability and quality and short delivery times, in line with the accelerated development in this city.
