Certificates for Contribution and Values, Bronze Marathoners Among Winners
At the award ceremony for the best employees, Acting Director Zoran Anđelković hosted and specially thanked colleagues who, with their professional and personal integrity, as well as their sporting results, contributed to the work, reputation and image of Pošta Srbije.
Colleagues from the headquarters of the RWU "Pančevo, Sremska Mitrovica", Olivera Marković, Marija Đan, Danijel Grujević and Igor Ivančić, as members of the mixed team with the symbolic name "Winners", achieved exceptional success at the recently held 39th Belgrade Marathon by winning third place and bronze medals in the corporate category of the "Pošta Srbije Relay Half Marathon". This marked the best result of representatives of Pošta Srbije so far, both in individual and team competition, and in a discipline of which Pošta Srbije has been the patron for several years.
The dedication to sports and long-term participation in marathon and half-marathon races is also shared by colleagues who received Certificates of Appreciation this time for their achievements in other fields, Dragan Knežević and Ivan Simonović.
Dragan Knežević, mail carrier at Post Office 15000 Obrenovac, received a Certificate of Appreciation for the prestigious award "Public Servant of the Year", which was awarded to him by the City Municipality of Obrenovac on the Municipality Day in December last year. As explained, Knežević earned the award for "many years of work and commitment to the development and improvement of the local community", during his 36-year career at Pošta Srbije.
Mail carrier Ivan Simonović, employed at Post Office 11120 Belgrade 35, stood out as the winner of the popular quiz show "Beat the Chasers" broadcast on Radio Television of Serbia, when he delighted the nation with his versatile knowledge, defeating all of his "chasers".
For the moral act, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Branko Đorđević, a delivery person at 32103 Čačak 3. Đorđević recently found an envelope with a large amount of money in the parking lot of a shopping centre in the city on the Morava River and returned it to the owner without a second thought, which was reported by both regional and wider area media.
