Record number of 64 mail carriers traditionally at 39th Belgrade Marathon
A record number of employees of Pošta Srbije participated in the 39th Belgrade Marathon, with as many as 64 colleagues from all over Serbia taking part, making up the largest team until now.
The Belgrade Marathon, the largest street sports event in Serbia, is being held over two days for the first time this year. By participating in this prestigious sports event, Pošta Srbije has once again confirmed that it fosters a culture of togetherness, healthy living and team spirit, both in and out of work environment.
As part of the "Relay Half Marathon of Pošta Srbije" race, the best male, female and mixed teams were awarded medals, cups and vouchers for participation in the next, jubilee 40th Belgrade Marathon.
In addition to participating on the course, Pošta Srbije was also present among the citizens. At the Republic Square, visitors enjoyed gifts from the Pošta’s parcel lockers throughout the day, in a friendly atmosphere of support for the runners.
This year's marathon is an introduction to the 40th anniversary edition, but also to the 2027 European Road Running Championships, which will be held in Belgrade in 10, 21 and 42 kilometre disciplines.
At the same time, the Belgrade Marathon also marks the beginning of the "Belgrade Family Days" event, further emphasizing its importance as an event that will bring together all generations.
The sports weekend continues tomorrow, when creative workshops "Postal Hour" will be held at the Republic Square, organized by the PTT Museum, intended for the youngest participants.
In addition to sporting results, employee participation also had a strong team-building character, contributing to strengthening cooperation, healthy habits, and positive energy among colleagues.
The Belgrade Marathon, which this year brought together around 14,500 participants from 79 countries, once again showed that Belgrade is not just a city of races, but a city of encounters, energy and togetherness. Because for Pošta Srbije – every kilometre is more than a race - it is a step closer to people.
