Pošta Srbije introduced 100 new electric delivery vehicles today, significantly improving delivery efficiency and accelerating the transition to a modern, environmentally sustainable logistics system.

The vehicles are allocated to 28 working units across Serbia, including Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Užice and other cities, in accordance with the operational needs of the system.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the President of the Assembly, members of the management, directors of working units, as well as employees of Pošta Srbije.

The event is given special significance by the fact that it was held on the feast of the Annunciation, which Pošta Srbije celebrates as its Patron Feast Day - Slava.

Acting Director of Pošta Srbije, Zoran Anđelković, stated: "By introducing electric vehicles into delivery, Pošta Srbije is taking an important step towards modernizing its operations and further improving its logistics network. Electric delivery vehicles enable more efficient organization of work in urban areas, reduce operating costs and contribute to sustainable development. In parallel, we are continuing the renovation of the classic part of the vehicle fleet, in order to ensure a stable and reliable delivery system in all parts of Serbia."

He announced that by June 7, the Day of Pošta Srbije, the fleet will be further renewed, and that a total of 538 new vehicles are planned, of which 438 electric, with a new tender for the procurement of electric vehicles to be announced in the coming period.

Anđelković pointed out that the introduction of electric vehicles will bring significant savings this year, reducing fuel costs by around 3.3 million euros, while making a significant contribution to environmental protection. The value of this investment in electric delivery vehicles is 1.4 billion dinars.

After the address, the Director handed over the keys to the directors of the working units and delivery employees, and the vehicles were immediately put into operation.

As part of the overall modernization of its vehicle fleet, Pošta Srbije allocated 70 new delivery vehicles in Čačak the day before for the combined specialized delivery of Post Express items, parcels, insured letters and larger registered postal items.

Additional confirmation of the quality of services is the latest research by the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL), according to which Post Express is the best-rated and most used courier service in Serbia, with a customer satisfaction rating of 4.14.

Pošta Srbije continues to improve its operations through the modernization of its vehicle fleet, the digitalization of processes, and the development of logistics infrastructure, with the aim of providing customers with fast, reliable, and modern service in line with the growing needs of the market.
