Letters of Pošta Srbije in eMailbox on eGovernment Portal as of next month

Pošta Srbije L.L.C. and the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment signed today a Protocol on Cooperation establishing a system for the receipt and transfer of letters, i.e. messages in electronic form, to eMailboxes on the eGovernment Portal.

In accordance with the Law on Postal Services, Pošta Srbije begins with the receipt and transfer of electronic letters, i.e. messages from business entities to citizens, to eMailboxes on the eGovernment Portal, ensuring secure, reliable and legally valid digital communication. In this way, electronic delivery becomes a modern, digital replacement for registered postal items, enabling companies to send documents and invoices to citizens to eMailboxes.

Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanović, PhD emphasized that the signing of this Protocol creates the conditions for Pošta Srbije to enable citizens to receive invoices, notifications and other documents in electronic form, directly to their eMailbox on the eGovernment Portal and in My eMailbox mobile application.

"In this way, we provide the citizens of Serbia with an even greater number of electronic services, tailored to their needs, in a simpler and faster way. We continue to develop services that save time and enable more efficient and secure communication with institutions and businesses in the digital environment", said Jovanović.

Acting Director of Pošta Srbije L.L.C. Zoran Anđelković stated that the signing of the Protocol represents an important step in the modernization of postal services and the improvement of digital communication between businesses and citizens, through the eGovernment system of the Republic of Serbia.

"Electronic delivery allows citizens to receive their mail faster, more securely and in a more simple manner, while traditional delivery remains available to all who still use it. Our goal is to provide customers with efficient service and more choices in how to receive postal items, in line with modern technological trends", said Anđelković.

This protocol improves the availability of digital services between businesses and citizens and continues the modernization of the postal system of the Republic of Serbia, in line with European standards for electronic services and digital identification.
