Promotion of tourist content – Cooperation Agreement between Pošta and TOS
Pošta Srbije and the Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS) have agreed on joint activities to promote the tourism potential of Belgrade and Serbia. This was stated in the agreement between the two institutions on business and technical cooperation, concluded by directors Zoran Anđelković and Marija Labović, at the TOS stand at the 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
Director Zoran Anđelković thanked the partners for the joint initiative and agreement, which contributes to the affirmation of Serbia's tourism potential. He emphasized the importance of the project in anticipation of the Expo exhibition in Belgrade. "Many visitors will take the opportunity to send a postcard or a catalogue that shows the tourist wealth of Serbia, and we hope that they will also visit these places", said Anđelković.
He explained that Pošta Srbije, through its working unit "Hybrid Post", will ensure the printing of postcards with motifs of local destinations and landmarks from all over the country and will make available a wide network of post offices so that the tourist offer and promotional content are accessible and visible to a large number of its customers. "We will do everything to make this agreement successful and implemented for the mutual benefit, and above all for the benefit of the state and citizens of Serbia", said Anđelković.
Director of TOS, Marija Labović, expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation, which further promotes Serbia as a tourist destination. "It's nice that we are doing it in a traditional way, through postcards with Serbian motifs. Although most of the promotion has moved to the digital sphere, it is important to preserve and cherish something that has a special emotional and personal touch. A postcard is a souvenir, but also an invitation, a message that goes out from Serbia to the world and invites others to visit", said Labović.
She added that for guests from abroad, postcards will be one of the beautiful and authentic souvenirs to take home from Serbia or send to their loved ones during the Expo. "We are moving very quickly with the implementation, because both TOS and Pošta Srbije are operational and efficient institutions", concluded Labović.
The activities envisaged by the agreement, in addition to printing postcards with motifs of the most important tourist destinations, cities and cultural heritage monuments, will include the promotion of Serbia as a tourist destination in post offices, in the form of promotional materials and posters with representative photographs that will be selected and provided by TOS. The tourist organization will additionally, within the framework of its regular activities, take measures to promote and popularize the PTT Museum of Pošta Srbije, as an institution of importance for the tourist, cultural and museum offer of the capital.
