Vote for Serbia in the European postage stamp competition "Europe"
A stamp of the Post of Serbia with a motif of the Vinča culture – late Neolithic Anthropomorphic figurines from the Vinča site, is competing in the European selection for the most beautiful stamp of the “Europe” issue on the topic of national archaeological discoveries, among 56 stamps of European postal administrations. Voting is open to the public and lasts until September 9, and all our citizens can participate.
The artistic realization of the issue is the work of Nadežda Skočajić, the creator of stamps for the Post of Serbia, the nationally and internationally recognized and multi-award-winning author of "Srbijamarka", while the professional cooperation and material for the motifs of the "Europe" issue were provided by the National Museum of Serbia.
"Thousands of years old artefacts of the Vinča culture hide sophisticated and mystical ornamentation. Figures of deities, geometric motifs and enigmatic signs reveal the existence of an ancient world in which women were symbols of fertility, and pictograms are the first traces of writing in Europe. The inspiration for this year's issue of commemorative postage stamps 'Europe' came naturally, from the exceptional prehistoric and archaeological wealth of our region", Skočajić emphasized, referring to the artistic work on this project.
Interested citizens across the country and the world have the opportunity to vote for the stamp of the Post of Serbia until September 9 at the link below: europastamps.eu/europa2025, according to the "one click, one vote" principle.
Thank you for your trust and vote for Serbia.
