Artistic sketches by Đorđe Andrejević Kun until January 31 at PTT Museum
The thematic exhibition "Little-known Đorđe Andrejević Kun: artistic sketches for postage stamps and works of applied art" by author Gordana Rafael will be set up at the PTT Museum until the end of January.
The exclusive exhibition presents artistic sketches for commemorative postage stamps by Đorđe Andrejević Kun, some of the unadopted conceptual solutions, personal items such as painting equipment and an easel that he personally made, manuscripts and photographs.
On this occasion, works of Kun's applied art and sketches for postage stamps by the xylography and graphic artist Veljko Kun, the artist's father, who is the author of the first multi-coloured banknote in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, were exhibited to the public for the first time. The exhibition was organized in cooperation and with the support of the artists’ family.
The PTT Museum of the Post of Serbia in Belgrade, Majke Jevrosime 13, is open to visitors during working hours – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Thursday from 12 noon to 8 pm.
Entrance is free of charge.
