Post in Full Capacity at the Service of the Citizens of Serbia

We remind the public that on Friday, 17 November 2017 a decision was made by the representative trade unions which gather almost 11,000 employees to stop the strike at the Post of Serbia

We inform the public that PE Post of Serbia, which was given the activity of public interest, provides legal entities and natural persons with services which are in its scope of work, without cease. Therefore, tendentious attempts of disturbing the public by the leaders of the unrepresentative trade union - the Individual Trade Union of Postal Workers - that there is chaos in the Serbian posts, are false.

We remind the public that on Friday, 17 November 2017 a decision was made by the representative trade unions which gather almost 11,000 employees to stop the strike at the Post of Serbia.

Today, according to the official report of professional services, 17 employees from the territory of the Republic of Serbia declared that they would support strike activities of the Individual Trade Union of Postal Workers, which is their legitimate right.

This management, led by Ms. Mira Petrović, Acting Director of the Enterprise, cooperating with its founder, the Governement of the Republic of Serbia led by Ms. Ana Brnabić and the leaders of representative trade unions - PTT Serbia Trade Union and Independence PTT Trade Union, is trying to find the best solution for the improvement of the social and material status of 15,000 employees.

We also inform the public that due to the unlawful operation blockade of the Regional Postal and Logistic Center Belgrade, which is a lifeline of PE Post of Serbia, organized by the Individual Trade Union of Postal Workers, there was a multiday disruption of the operation process in the activity of public interest, in which way the Enterprise suffered multimillion loss due to the delay of postal items delivery.

Professional services of the Post of Serbia, to the order of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Supervisory Board and with the full consent of the representative trade unions intensively work on the analyzing of direct and indirect loss which our enterprise underwent, and according to the current data the loss is 300,000,000,00 dinars. It is expected that the repercussions of the unlawful gatherings would be more far-reaching, and the loss considerably bigger.

All the lawful measures are being undertaken towards the organizers and participants in the blockade of the distribution center in order to sanction that kind of behaviour, and to protect this valuable state system, 15,000 employees and their families. The employees have the unalienable right to express their dissatisfaction by a protest or strike in accordance with regulations which regulate that area, but it is inadmissible that the participants’ irresponsible behaviour inflict multimillion loss to the Enterprise, as well its employees and the Republic of Serbia.
