The eighth laureate of the Momo Kapor Award is a painter Vasilije Vasa Dolovački. At today’s ceremony at the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, a silver plaquette to Dolovački was given by Matija Bećković, president of the Steering Committee of 'Momčilo Momo Kapor Endowment', and the money prize was given to him by Mira Petrović, acting CEO of the Post of Serbia.

In order to preserve the memory of the famous Serbian writer and painter, and also to support other artists, 'Momčilo Momo Kapor Endowment' established a unique award in 2011, which is given alternately for literature and fine arts. The award consists of a silver plaquette in the shape of hopscotch, a frequent motif of Kapor’s painting, a charter and a money amount provided by the Public Enterprise Post of Serbia, the main sponsor of the event.

In the spirit of socially responsible business practice, the Post of Serbia endeavours to nurture the culture of writing, literacy and creativity, by taking part in important cultural and art projects. As words, language expressions and communication connect, so does the Post of Serbia, in this way contributing to the better understanding and connecting.
