70 Years of Serbia and Indonesia Diplomatic Relations Stamp Introduced
The commemorative postage stamp "70 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Indonesia" was ceremonially presented at the PTT Museum today.
Zoran Anđelković expressed satisfaction with the issue of the stamp that symbolizes the comprehensive relationship between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation that spans various fields, from economy to culture, and emphasized that this stamp represents a lasting memory of joint successes.
"Without excellent political relations, it is difficult to develop economic, cultural, educational and other ties. "The continuity of the ties between the two countries represents a historical value," Anđelković pointed out.
He recalled the visit of the highest officials of Indonesia, and the meeting of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, with the President-elect of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in July, and also the Speaker of the House of Representatives of that country, Puan Maharani, in Belgrade, in August.
"By issuing this stamp, the Post of Serbia makes a small contribution to the quality relations between the two countries," said Anđelković and thanked the creators of the stamp, which will permanently remind of 70 years of good diplomatic relations between our two countries.
H. E. Mohamad Chandra Vidja Juda spoke about the importance of maintaining and strengthening diplomatic relations between Serbia and Indonesia. He praised the creativity in the artistic realization of the stamp and pointed out that this edition contributes to a better understanding of the people and the connection of cultures.
"Since the establishment of our formal relations in 1954, Indonesia and Serbia have built a partnership based on shared values and commitment to peace, territorial integrity and development. I believe that this stamp will reflect the success of Serbian and Indonesian diplomatic efforts and will serve as a strong symbol of the richness of our bilateral ties," said the ambassador.

He also pointed out that the Embassy of Indonesia in Belgrade worked closely with its colleagues in Jakarta to present the design of the new postage stamp, which everyone in attendance had the opportunity to see.
