Forum: Airmail of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia 1939-1941 tonight at PTT Museum

The forum "The role of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the airmail connection between Southeast Europe and North and South America 1939-1941" will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the PTT Museum in Belgrade, Majke Jevrosime 13, starting at 6 p.m. The lecture will be held by Mr. Ratomir Živković.

Ratomir Živković, philatelist and researcher, member of the Union of Philatelists of Serbia and Serbian exhibitor at world (FIP) exhibitions, has had the airmail of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia as the focus of his research for decades. He published the results of his research all over the world in several renowned philatelic magazines. He is a contributor to the national magazine “Filatelista”.

As a Serbian exhibitor, at the world philatelic exhibition NEW YORK 2016 he won a large gilded medal for the exhibit The Development of International Airmail in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia between 1923-1941 and was awarded a special jury award for research contribution in the aforementioned field. He lives and works in the United States of America.

The forum is being realized as the third in a series of lectures on Serbian and Yugoslav postal history, within the framework of cooperation on the promotion of national cultural heritage embodied in philately, between the Union of Philatelists of Serbia, the Public Enterprise "Post of Serbia" and the PTT Museum.
