High representatives of Toshiba visited the Post of Serbia logistics centre

High representatives of the Toshiba Company visited the logistics centre of PE Post of Serbia in Belgrade. As part of this significant visit, the special guest was Mr. Akira Imamura, Ambassador of Japan to Serbia.

In front of the Japanese company were Tomoaki Kumagai, Vice President and General Executive Officer for Global Strategy and Business Development, and Hiroshi Morikawa, President and CEO of Toshiba Europe.

The general managers of Toshiba Europe, Kageyuki Iso and Yuji Kurisu, also visited.

The guests were received on behalf of PE Post of Serbia by the Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Anđelković. He was accompanied by executive directors Vladimir Šarić and Predrag Milošević, as well as deputy director of the Postal Network Function Ivan Babić.

During the visit, the current work and opportunities for the improvement of the procedure of postal items processing were analysed, bearing in mind the large increase in the volume of work in the last three months. Director Zoran Anđelković presented plans for the modernization of the logistics centre in Belgrade, emphasizing the need for improvement in order to process the increasing number of postal items more efficiently.

Special attention was paid to the technological improvement of the main logistics centre in Zemun, completed in 2014. Toshiba representatives considered various options for the maximum use of space and preparation for future robotization.
