Kurti's terror continues - letters stopped at Jarinje

Today, the so-called Kosovo Police stopped a van of the Post of Serbia with letters, on the regular route of the Raška - Gračanica transport line, at the Jarinje administrative crossing.

After yesterday's raid on nine branches in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, which have been closed since yesterday, and the documents confiscated, while the Director and managers were taken to an informative interview, today private correspondence and the transfer of letterpost items for customers in the north of Kosovo and Metohija were also stopped. .

The latest action of the Kosovo police worsens the situation and increases the anxiety among the Serbian population, and therefore we point out the urgency of resolving and calming tensions, stopping all actions that are against the previously reached agreements and enabling the smooth functioning of postal traffic in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.

The closing of the branches of the Post of Serbia has serious consequences for the Serbian community and employees, since it is a vital institution, a pillar and an important factor in the daily life of Serbian and other non-Albanian population in the north of Kosovo and Metohija. Many citizens, especially senior ones, rely on our services for daily transactions in their daily economic functioning. Today's act of forcibly stopping the transmission of letters, among other things, makes contact between families difficult, which further increases the feeling of insecurity in the context of ethnic tensions.

The priority of the Post of Serbia is to resolve the situation peacefully, provide services to citizens and protect facilities, property and our employees.
