Delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of China visiting the Post of Serbia
Delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, headed by Mrs. Zhu Yong, Director General of the Department of Electronic Commerce and Informatization, visited the Post of Serbia today with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Serbia and China in the field of postal traffic and electronic commerce.
At the meeting with the Acting Director Zoran Đorđević and part of the management of the Post of Serbia, the establishment of direct cooperation between the public postal operators of Serbia and China and joint investment with a partner from China was discussed, in order to improve logistics for the countries of the Balkans and Europe.
Special focus was on e-commerce and informatization, and potential cooperation between the Post of Serbia and Chinese e-commerce companies, such as Alibaba, which would contribute to the more efficient delivery of parcels and facilitation of trade between the two countries. The two parties agreed that the establishment of cooperation will enable a better service for the transmission of postal items arriving from China, and that, bearing in mind the announced opening of new Air Serbia routes to destinations in China, the transit time between China and Europe will be shortened.
Today's meeting is expected to be the foundation for further improvement of cooperation in the postal sector and e-commerce between Serbia and China, opening new opportunities for economic development and increasing the efficiency of trade ties.
