Notification of the latest attempts to abuse the logo and name of the Post
In connection with the latest attempt to abuse the logo and name of the Post of Serbia in the form of fake SMS and Viber messages, which allegedly come from the Post of Serbia, we point out the following.
It is a type of phishing attack, popularly called Smishing (SMS phishing) because it starts by sending an SMS (Short Message Service), Viber or WhatsApp message and uses social engineering methods to trick the victim into sharing personal information about payment cards and account numbers. The victim is required to visit the link and enter the requested personal information. The messages are created with the intention of appearing as if they were sent from reliable sources, in this case by the Public Enterprise "Post of Serbia", and the text of the message is such that it creates a sense of urgency with the aim of causing the recipient of the message to react quickly and recklessly.
Users are advised not to open messages of this type and not to visit the links listed in them, because those links lead to fake pages.
The only legitimate link of PE Post of Serbia is at the link: posta.rs. We remind you that PE Post of Serbia does not provide payment services for parcel delivery via payment cards on its website, and communicates with customers via SMS or Viber messages exclusively with the aim of announcing the arrival of postal items and exclusively via its verified account.
