The Post of Serbia presented at the Chinese Cultural Center in Belgrade two issues of commemorative postage stamps, which it published during 2023 in honor of the steel friendship between Serbia and China.
The friendly and diplomatic relations between the two countries were discussed by the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Serbia, Zhe Zhang, and the Director of Srbijamarka, Assoc. "Serbia is one of the first countries to respond to the Belt and Road Initiative and is an important partner in this initiative. The steel friendship between China and Serbia is getting stronger, with solid foundations of public opinion, broad common interests and a strong motivation for cooperation. In recent years, bilateral relations have continued to function at a high level, and the content of the comprehensive strategic partnership is getting richer. In the fields of culture and tourism, the consequences left by the epidemic have been overcome on both sides, various cultural and tourist exchange activities are actively being carried out, adding a new note to the development of bilateral relations," said chargé d'affaires Zhang, concluding that the stamp issues carry an important message – that Chinese-Serbian relations entered a new phase of comprehensive development at a high level and show fruitful results of pragmatic cooperation between China and Serbia in various fields.
"Two very significant issues of stamps were published by the Post of Serbia with the professional cooperation of the Chinese Cultural Center in Belgrade, honoring the strong friendship and successful cooperation between Serbia and China, which is continuously developing thanks to President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandar Vučić. These stamps are a symbol of the deep connection between our two countries, highlighting the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as China's rich culture. The two issues are an expression of our commitment to strengthening cultural diversity and connecting our peoples and testify to the historical maximum of our friendship and cooperation," said Director of Srbijamarka Assoc.
