Minister Jovanović at regular meeting with Post of Serbia’s representatives

The Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Mihailo Jovanović, met today with the Acting Director of PE Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević and the management of this Enterprise, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PE Post of Serbia, Boriša Šarenac, representatives of two representative unions, the PTT Serbia Union and the Worker Union, and representatives of the non-representative union, the Independence Union.

The meeting was held to monitor the implementation of the Agreement signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, with the trade unions and the management of this Enterprise. Also, the topic of the meeting was the implementation of the indefinite and fixed-term hiring plan for workers in technology, as well as the implementation of the plan to eliminate the remaining postal items to RPLC Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Let us remind you that in accordance with the Agreement, all workers, with the exception of management, were paid a one-time aid in the amount of twenty thousand dinars on November 23 and 24. On November 28, the Government's Commission for Granting Consent for New Employment gave consent to PE Post of Serbia for employment for an indefinite period for a total of 232 executors, and the Acting Director of the Enterprise has made a decision to hire 223 employees for an indefinite period as of December 6. By December 15, the Enterprise's management will come out with a request for additional temporary employment for technology employees and will forward this request to the relevant Ministry.

Also, the Annex to the collective agreement for PE Post of Serbia, signed on December 4, defines a 10% salary increase for all employees in technology as of November 1 this year, and the first increased salary will be paid on December 15.

The following salary increase for technology workers will be on January 1, 2024, and will be in the amount of 10%, making a cumulative salary increase of 21% in relation to pre-November 1 technology earnings. Also, the salary increase for all employees in the administration, except for the management, will be 10%, starting from January 1, 2024. In order for these increases from January 1, 2024 to be realized, the management of the Enterprise will initiate the signing of the new Annex to the collective agreement by the end of 2023.

For employees who ended the suspension of work, reduced travel expenses and reduced salary for the days they spent in suspension of work will be paid with the next calculation of travel expenses and salary on December 12 and December 15 this year.

Finally, regarding the implementation of the plan to eliminate the remaining postal items in RPLC Belgrade, the management of the Enterprise took all measures to eliminate the remaining international prime postal items in 2 days, and the rest of ordinary letterpost items in a maximum of 10 days.
