Normalization of postal traffic during weekend and at the start of the week
The Post of Serbia apologizes to all citizens, partners and service users for the delay regarding postal items, and thanks the workers for their constructiveness.
PE Post of Serbia informs the public that the postal centers in Belgrade and Novi Sad have been functioning since Friday and that they will continue their work during the weekend, in three shifts.
The complete normalization of postal traffic in the entire Serbia can be expected at the beginning of the week. This means that citizens of Serbia, partners and users can expect all postal items in their mailboxes in the coming days.
In addition, job openings for mailpersons and delivery persons in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Smederevo have been announced. You can learn more about it on the website of the Post of Serbia.
The Post of Serbia hereby apologizes to all citizens, partners and service users for the delay in postal items and all other consequences caused by the suspension of the work of some employees. Also, Post of Serbia thanks all trade unions for their constructive dialogue with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, with whom the agreement on ending the work suspension was signed. According to that agreement, tech workers' salaries will increase by 10% immediately, and then by an additional 10% starting January 1, 2024. That is a cumulative 21% pay increase for tech workers over their current earnings. Workers in the administration will receive an additional salary increase of 10% from January 1 of the following year. All workers, except the management, will be paid a one-time financial aid of 20,000 dinars until November 25. It is important to point out that workers who have returned to work, and who have already been paid reduced salaries due to the suspension of work, will be compensated for the difference with their next salary, along with travel expenses.
One of the items of the agreement is a mandatory regular six-month dialogue with the highest leadership of the Government of Serbia, which will be attended by representatives of all trade unions. We hope that in this way, through the participation of workers in discussions, we will prevent such and similar situations in the future. We believe that by working together, we will succeed in further improving the conditions and position of all employees at the Post of Serbia.
