Visit from the Ambassador of Australia
Australia's Ambassador to Serbia, Daniel Emery, visited the Post of Serbia and discussed issues of international postal traffic and postal cooperation with its Director, Zoran Đorđević.
The meeting was a useful opportunity to exchange opinions on global issues that have the greatest impact on international postal traffic, as well as on the closer connection between the posts, which is of particular importance within the framework of the development of business and economic ties between the two countries, which, although geographically very distant, are strongly connected by the large Serbian community in Australia, the interlocutors pointed out.
Đorđević and Ambassador Emery agreed that with the development of relations between Serbia and Australia, it is necessary to continue postal contacts in order to initiate more intensive cooperation in various areas of interest, and among other things, they singled out philatelic activity and production as a fruitful area for mutual rapprochement and promotion of cultures. It was also agreed to submit a proposal to the Post of Australia for a memorandum of cooperation between the two posts.
