Serbia and San Marino: Postage stamp marking 20 yr. of diplomatic relations

At the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the Post of Serbia issued a special postage stamp to mark the diplomatic jubilee - the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of San Marino and the Republic of Serbia.

Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, presented a gift issue of a postage stamp with the number one, which is of special philatelic value, to Luca Beccari, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications of the Republic of San Marino, and an issue of a stamp with the number two, to Ivica Dačić, the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

The exclusive postage stamp, created especially on the occasion of the visit of the distinguished guest from the Republic of San Marino, is a symbol of the strong friendship and cooperation between the two countries over the past twenty years, and an incentive for further strengthening of partnership and close ties in the future. It was made in a special format with many vignettes and in a small circulation, so it represents a real philatelic delicacy. The motifs on the issue are the fortress of San Marino, the medieval fortress of Old Town Užice, and the national flags of the Republic of San Marino and the Republic of Serbia.
