Winners of "100 successful business women" national competition announced
The Post of Serbia announced and presented awards to the winners of the second national award competition "100 successful business women" from rural and non-urban areas.
At the event at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade, Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Darija Kisić, Minister for Family Care and Demography (on behalf of the President of the Coordinating Body for Gender Equality Maja Gojković), Tatjana Prijić, Assistant Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Branislava Simanić, Director of the Sector for Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, and Dragana Janjić , co-owner and director of "Aleksić Winery" from Vranje spoke about the improvement of the position of women, mothers and entrepreneurs, changes in the law, institutional support and state financial assistance, as well as activities on issues of gender equality, support for female entrepreneurship and the results of the competition.
"With great success, we are closing the second major national competition to support female entrepreneurs, which again recorded great interest, which speaks of the importance of our initiative and the necessity of constant and even stronger joint support for women's entrepreneurship and the economic empowerment and affirmation of women in business. In addition to free advertising, we will provide the winners with the most favorable conditions on the market if they decide to cooperate with the Post. It is especially important that we influence the creation of better opportunities and greater chances for women who run their own businesses in smaller communities, and this year, female entrepreneurs from rural and non-urban areas received our support, which will make their businesses more visible and competitive on the national market of goods and services. We are proud to contribute to a higher common goal, equal economic and regional development and improvement of the small economy and society as a whole", said Zoran Đorđević.
Minister Kisić welcomed the action and expressed her satisfaction that successful business women from almost all smaller towns throughout Serbia were awarded. She called for joint further work on the empowerment of women. In addition to improving the legislative framework, she pointed out that the Ministry of Family Care, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, launched the Friends of the Family campaign, with the aim of encouraging companies to do as much as possible to harmonize work and parenthood, while the most socially responsible companies can expect valuable rewards.
For the promotion and participation in the selection of the winners of the competition "100 successful business women", Đorđević thanked the Vice-President of the Government of Serbia, the Minister of Culture and the President of the Coordinating Body for Gender Equality Maja Gojković, the commissioner for the protection of equality Brankica Janković, Branislava Simanić and Dragana Janjić, as well as the minister Kisić and Tatjana Prijić for supporting and attending the event.
The Post of Serbia will provide national visibility for the 100 winners of the competition in the form of free advertising space in more than 1,500 post offices throughout Serbia. In addition to being presented in an online and printed publication available free of charge to users of postal services in branches of all post offices in the country, the winners and their business will be presented on monitors in post offices, on the corporate website and on the official profiles of the Post on Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and the YouTube channel.
The competition of the Post of Serbia "100 successful business women" from rural and non-urban areas was realized with the support of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which helped promote, animate and inform female candidates through the network of regional chambers of commerce and the section for women's entrepreneurship.
