Post at the birthday of the Red Cross of Serbia
The Red Cross of Serbia celebrated its 147th anniversary at its headquarters in Simina Street in Belgrade, gathering volunteers of this humanitarian organization and numerous dignitaries. Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, attended the event and highlighted the support of the Post of Serbia to the mission, development, commitment and programs of the only national society in the country with an equally important role from its foundation until today.
"The principle of social responsibility is a point of convergence around which we should all gather and as partners make additional efforts, while at the same time strengthening our own capacities to become more sensitive and humane, to respond to needs and unite in helping the vulnerable by supporting and participating in the organization of various solidarity actions and aid programs. While I was a minister, I cooperated intensively with the Serbian Red Cross. I am proud to say that we successfully worked on many projects together at the time, but perhaps the most important is that we completely renovated a facility for housing children in Baošići, Montenegro. I will continue to support them, because being socially responsible is part of my upbringing", said Đorđević.
