At the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, the 40th Symposium on New Technologies in Postal and Telecommunication Traffic, PosTel 2022, was officially opened. On the occasion of the important anniversary of the Symposium, the Post of Serbia was awarded a plaque as a sign of gratitude for its long-term support, and the Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, addressed the gathering.

Đorđević emphasized the implemented digitalization and automation of processes at the Post of Serbia and spoke about future projects that await the Post together with the industry, ministries and regulatory authorities.

"For the Post of Serbia, the modernization and implementation of state-of-the-art solutions that make work easier for employees and improve the service provision for customers are extremely important. By digitalizing existing services and introducing new ones, we want to keep up with the times and strive to be as close as possible to citizens. Success is guaranteed only by a combination of knowledge and experience, which is why it is important that the employees are professional people armed with knowledge. This is precisely why the Post of Serbia supports dual education in secondary and higher education and closely cooperates with educational institutions, with the aim of providing young people with the opportunity to further educate themselves and become experts in their respective fields.” said Đorđević.

The winners of the plaque this year are the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the company "TELEKOM Srbija" Jsc, as well as the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services RATEL.

Expert papers that will be presented at the Symposium represent modern scientific and technological achievements in the field of postal and telecommunication traffic, new conceptual and technological solutions and new knowledge and experiences. In the next two days, the sessions will discuss the strategies of sustainable development of postal operators, innovative technologies in the function of modernizing the business of postal logistics operators, as well as the development of the postal market, and the implementation of mobile parcel machines in the mail transfer system will be analysed.
