The Post joined the "Sports in Schools" campaign
PE Post of Serbia, as a socially responsible national company, supported the action of the Association for School Sports of Serbia and the competent ministries for free sports for children from the 1st to the 4th grade of elementary school – "Sports in Schools", which was joined today by the Elementary School "Dragojlo Dudić" from Belgrade.
The Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, emphasized that one of the directions of the Post's socially responsible work is the commitment to a healthy life and proper psychophysical development of young people, which is one of the key functions of sports.
"The idea around which we united with the organizers of the "Sports in Schools" action is to return sports to children in such a way that it is equally accessible to all. I believe that playing sports should not be a privilege, but an opportunity for all children, and that is why the Post of Serbia will help to bring free sports activities to schools. In this way, we want to support children in achieving their sports ambitions, but above all to enable them to develop properly and socialize with their peers by bringing them closer to sports. Our country needs strong and quality people, and sport is one of the best ways for young people to become that," said Zoran Đorđević.
Željko Tanasković, president of the Association for School Sports of Serbia, as well as representatives of the Municipality of "Zvezdara" attended the launching of the "Sports in Schools" action at the Elementary School "Dragojlo Dudić" in Belgrade. The guests were greeted by the principal of the school, Daniela Pavić.
The project "Sports in Schools" has been realized for several years, and it is implemented by the Association for School Sports of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as well as numerous partners, including the Municipality of "Zvezdara" and the organization " Sportstars", and from today also the Post of Serbia.
