Meeting between Directors of Posts of Serbia of North Macedonia
The Post of North Macedonia’s delegation, headed by the newly-appointed Director Vasko Stefanov, has visited the Post of Serbia for purposes of further strengthening of cooperation and efficient connection between citizens and economy. At the working meetings, Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia and Vasko Stefanov, paid special attention to options of deeper business connections which the initiative Open Balkan offers.
“We arranged with the Director Stefanov further activities on previously determined fields of cooperation and initiated projects in which the Post of Serbia, as a leading postal operator in the region, should provide its expert support to our colleagues from North Macedonia. This is very important since our joint projects present a concretization of the initiative Open Balkan, through creation of technical and institutional possibilities for market growth and economic activities, aiming for more efficient connecting of citizens and business subjects in the region, on which the Post of Serbia as a socially-responsible company particularly insists“, said Zoran Đorđević.
In August 2021, the Posts of Serbia and of North Macedonia signed the Protocol on Cooperation, which determined the framework of development of the new joint services, first of all in the field in which the Post of Serbia already works - digitalization of services and development of e-commerce. By the end of last year, the cooperation was initiated also on the Project of address code introduction (PAC) in the Post of North Macedonia, within the project „Translation of Address into Address Code“ developed by the expert team of the Post of Serbia. The options if the Post of North Macedonia joins the regional projects of the Post of Serbia were presented to the Macedonian colleagues, like PostPak, intended to the legal entities and enterpreneurs for stimulation of export within e-commerce and PostCash, the money transfer project.
