The Post pays special attention to people with disabilities
The Post of Serbia, as a socially responsible enterprise, employs more than 390 people with disabilities. At the same time, in cooperation with the Association of the Blind of Serbia, we are considering the specific needs of the blind in order to enable easier access to our facilities and services, said the Acting Director of the Post of Serbia addressing the participants of the 28th International Conference of the Regional Association of the Blind of the Balkans.
"The Post of Serbia pays special attention to improving the position of blind and partially sighted people and shows a high degree of understanding for the position of this sensitive category in its everyday business. That is why we continuously adjust our business operations, services, information and communication technologies, customer systems and infrastructure, but we also educate employees to work with sensitive categories of customers. We are undertaking all this within the broader support of the Post of Serbia to the national platform and strategy for improving the overall position of persons with disabilities", said Zoran Đorđević.
The Association of the Blind of Serbia, with the support of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia, is organizing the 28th International Conference of the Regional Association of the Blind of Balkans, which will be held until June 22 in Belgrade. Representatives of twelve countries are participating in the conference, as well as representatives of the European Blind Union and the Union of the Blind of Hungary and Slovenia.
