"Post of Serbia, in accordance with its economic and social role and the values it stands for, joins the national competition “100 Successful Business Women” with a firm commitment and efforts of the Government of Serbia to support women's entrepreneurship and improve the position of women in the labour market. This competition is our contribution to empowering and affirming women who have shown a willingness to take risks and start their own business, but also a way to encourage all ladies who are thinking about starting a business. That is why we have decided that the winners of our competition will receive as an additional award, the opportunity to conclude a contract for the export of goods through the Post of Serbia – Post Export Service, under the most favourable conditions, which no one else has. The Post of Serbia will continue to develop modern services and innovative business solutions based on digitalization, which will continue to contribute to greater competitiveness, better market positioning and affirmation of both businesses owned by women and the national economy as a whole. On these tasks, we enjoy the full support of the relevant Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, as well as the Ministry of Economy", said Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia.

The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, pointed out that the implementation of this competition significantly contributes to the promotion of women's entrepreneurship and empowering women to start their own business. "It is necessary to continuously work on solutions for improving the position of women, because that contributes to a better business climate and results that are of key importance for the growth and progress of the entire Serbia. Gender equality guarantees not only better chances and opportunities for women, but also for the entire society", said Minister Matić.

Matić reminded that the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a new Strategy for Gender Equality 2021-2030, and pointed out that the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications includes a gender component in its activities and pays great attention to the development of women's digital competencies, thus encouraging the development of women's entrepreneurship, and since 2016 it has implemented 74 such projects and allocated more than 61 million dinars to this cause.
