Post of Serbia – patron of the 35th Belgrade Marathon
The Post of Serbia is the patron of the jubilee 35th Belgrade Marathon, which is being held this year on the International Family Day and under the slogan "Friendship in the Long Run" on Sunday, 15 May, and one of the main competitive races will be called "Post of Serbia Relay Half Marathon". The patronage agreement was signed today by Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia and Darko Habuš, Director of the Belgrade Marathon.
Đorđević and Habuš also presented a special issue of commemorative postage stamps "35th Belgrade Marathon", issued by the Post of Serbia as part of the jubilee of the largest, most massive and most important traditional sports event in Belgrade and the whole country, at a conference at the Old Court where the importance of the marathon for the city of Belgrade and the organization of events on Sunday, was discussed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesić, and the Ambassador of the 35th Marathon Olivera Jevtić.
"Post of Serbia is a large family with 15,000 employees and a socially responsible company that pays special attention to the promotion of sports, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. In addition to satisfaction, we feel it is our duty to be present at this prestigious sporting event, support the goals of the event, invite others to play sports and together send one of the most beautiful postcards from our capital, while postage stamps will mark this important anniversary of the Belgrade Marathon, its popularity and significance. I would like to wish a lot of success to the competitors and organizers, and a nice and pleasant stay to the visitors of our city", said Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia.
In the realization of the issue of postage stamps "35th Belgrade Marathon" professional cooperation was provided by Darko Habuš, while the graphic realization is the work of Hominid Studio from Belgrade. These special stamps can be purchased at the stand of the Post of Serbia at the event on Sunday, while together with themed postcards and other postal products they will be on offer at the stand of the Post of Serbia in the shopping centre "Gallery" today and on Saturday 14 May, in addition to the standard ways for online shopping on the website https://efilatelija.posta.rs/en/, or at a specialized store in 7 Takovska Street, and at the counters in post offices.
